“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.” author unknown
Everyone has a journey. We are all walking one right now.
It’s the act of travelling from one place to another, from one day to the next….. One stage of life to another. And every new day brings more travelling time.
Some journeys are dark, ugly and difficult, and some are bright, joyful and lighthearted. ALL of which, we will go through at some point of our lives, we will experience the good and the bad, but it is how we respond to what comes our way that will make the difference in what is to come.
~ Over the last little while, I have been challenged to share my journey….. OUR journey, both in the past, and over the last handful of years; the raw, hard, bumpy and most of all hopeful journey I have been through.
I’ve been nervous, there’s no doubt about that – sharing hard and sensitive things can be so difficult, and there is a lot of real disappointment that has gone on in my heart. But yet, I am stretched and challenged to share struggles that I believe most go through. And at the same time, share the goodness and the grace that God gives us as we walk through it.
Life is a beautiful journey. It truly is. When I look back and see God’s hand upon our lives, in the many things we’ve gone through, I stand in awe.
Good and bad…… God’s precious grace has woven its way through everything!, and continues to do so.
My life is walking many paths right now – marriage, parenting, homeschooling, ministry, health issues and now foster care. As well as dreaming to go on missions one day. These are the journeys, I’m ready to share, and I pray that I will encourage you down your path as well.
Welcome to The Journey! A blog about real life paths woven with God’s beautiful grace! Follow us as we share our journeys and enter into things that are beyond us. It’s risky, exciting, full of hope and uncomfortable.
But isn’t everything, as you step out and do things that are bigger than you?
I just want to say the God Is Good! …. And He gets you through the things that you don’t think you can get through.
I’ll leave you with these words from a song by Lauren Dangle.
It’s so true ….. And I will continue to trust in Him.
“When You don’t move the mountains
I’m needing You to move
When You don’t part the waters
I wish I could walk through
When You don’t give the answers
As I cry out to You
I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You”
Until next week…
